I love that tender little touch - I think Matthew’s leaving Domenico no doubt how he feels about Diana.  Maybe it’s also a ‘forgive me Diana - for what I am about to do’ moment because he is going to become something that will make her think twice about being with him.  In the next second he turns into a snarling animal to whip Domenico’s arse - all to protect her.

Kudos to Matthew Goode for achieving that transformation so perfectly.
